What is a chiropractic adjustment? [Video]

Hello and welcome back to the Bronston Chiropractic video blog. Having your spine or other joints adjusted may sound scary if you're a first-time chiropractic patient, but it's a painless process that can significantly improve your quality of life.

A chiropractic adjustment is a procedure in which a licensed chiropractor applies pressure to your spine to correct its alignment. The ultimate goal is to increase your mobility and alleviate discomfort. The practice is a common treatment for neck and lower back pain, as well as headaches.

During an adjustment, you will feel pressure and may hear some pops, but the process rarely causes any pain. Depending on the state of your alignment, your chiropractor may create a treatment plan that involves a few sessions of care to include corrective exercises to keep "you back in motion."
